How to achieve the elusive 'work-life balance'

Work-life balance can often feel like a mythical destination, the type you’ll never find.

However, the truth is we are all capable of creating it!

The important thing to remember is that “balance” and what good work-life balance, often looks like is different for everyone - and that’s ok.

Some of our clients strive to work 75% of their week, while others would rather work 25%. Different people also tend to classify their daily activities into different work or life categories. For example, some will place household chores, cooking and gardening into the “work” side of the equation, while others classify these activities on the “life” side.

Check out the guide below on how you can create the right balance for you.

1. Write a list under the titles 'work' and 'life' of the activities you “have to” and “want to” do.

2.Identify the % of time you ideally want to dedicate to both.

3. Write a weekly schedule for how you could achieve this.

4.Agree to take one step to move from your current state toward your new desired state.

5. Think about what activities you have jotted down as work vs life. Does the way you have labelled them best serve you? If you thought of the activities differently would you feel more positively about them?
